The Weeks | Just Whiskey

Kudos to The King, Elvis for composing the opening lines for this review many years ago:  

“Such a Night! 
It was a night oo-oo what a night
It really was such a night!”

Hemp Fest 2021 was a resounding success! The capacity crowd of Burlappers (old and new) showed up to find out the real deal about Hemp/ CBD/ Cannabis, and the impact, socially, economically, and personally this remarkable living plant can have on us all. 

We had the “Dream Team” of Tennessee-based Hemp growers, processors, manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers of CBD and Hemp-based products on hand to convey the “state of the cannabis industry” to all in attendance. 

“If these experts don’t know it, you don’t need to either.” Seriously. 

As usual, the live entertainment was exceptional!  The Just Whiskey Band, feat Emily Kidd, warmed everyone up with a set ranging from outlaw country to righteous rock n roll with a down-home feel from the lovely Ms. Emily & the Just Whiskey guys. 

And then lightning struck! (Not literally!) The Weeks scored a direct hit on the Redbud Stage, and lit the crowd up IMMEDIATELY. They masterfully continued to control the musical moods with their shifting styles- one minute, creating an amazingly multi-layered soulful interlude and then rocking their butts off the next.

Indeed, one of the best musical and visually entertaining performances ever for the appreciative “Burlapper” crowd- which included many of The Weeks’ fans from Nashville who are now, of course…”Burlappers” too- WELCOME!

Congrats to the winners of the Bald Cypress Trees, and long-term Burlapper, Pat on winning the acoustic guitar case made from what else?  Hemp!!
