About East Nash Grass...
East Nash Grass is one of the hottest young bands in Bluegrass, picking up this year’s International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Best New Artist and stacked with IBMA Best Instrumentalist winners: Grand Master Fiddle champion and AMA Instrumentalist of the year nominee Maddie Denton, Cory Walker (banjo), and Harry Clark (mandolin). Put them alongside charismatic frontman James Kee and bassist Jeff Partin (Rhonda Vincent, etc.) and you’ve got a powerhouse leader of the next generation in bluegrass excellence.
WSLR in Fogartyville calls them “a balance of undeniably hard-driving bluegrass alongside surprisingly introspective songwriting and earnest narration.”
They are far more than a group of impressive instrumental technicians. As a group that came together organically via set after set on Nashville’s East Side, playing tiny stages for the love of it between tours backing bigger acts, they have a hard-forged bond that’s reflected in their stage chemistry. Audiences freak out over how much fun these guys have.
As they work on the follow up to 2023’s “Last Chance To Win” — look for a release in the spring of 2025 — they now find themselves one of the most in-demand groups in Americana, fanning out well beyond the traditional bluegrass spots.
“Out of the Wilds of East Nashville came this band of ringers, each of them playing in National high profile Bluegrass bands. The sound they make when they play together rivals that of any of their main gigs. Who knows, but I heard them as a finely tuned machine that could survive on its own. The National high profilers better hang on tight! East Nash Grass is on the move.” - Jerry Douglas
East Nash Grass is a band that stands alone as a unit of monster players and performers, top professionals, and committed bandmates. It’s clear that the sky is the limit for this group as they continue their ascent into the highest levels of bluegrass music. - Jeremy Darrow
“I’ve watched East Nash Grass evolve from a group of exceptionally talented friends playing on a local stage to a highly acclaimed band playing marquis stages like the Ryman. They are clearly one of the most entertaining bluegrass bands anywhere!” — Paul Schiminger, former IBMA Executive Director
“I’ve known most of this band for many years, and I know them all to be brilliant musicians. Together these folks merge into a unit that feeds off one another, and we can’t wait to see the success that is headed their way.” — Mark Hodges, President, Mountain Fever Records
“If you are a lover of traditional bluegrass, then it goes without saying that you will enjoy the works produced by this band. This band lives and breathes sparkling instrumental solos and driving rhythms; you would be hard-pressed to find a group of musicians with as much deep bluegrass cred as these pickers.” — Kara Kundert
About The Po' Ramblin' Boys...
At a time when most people feel constantly distracted by technology and barraged by the news, authenticity and straightforward honesty are paramount. There’s something about the music of The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys that cuts right through the noise of the world and speaks plainly to the soul. Formed ten years ago in the Smoky Mountains in 2014, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys are at once exactly what you would expect and not at all what you would expect from a tattooed East Tennessee Bluegrass outfit. But they take pride in being ambassadors of their genre, and the group has brought their music from rural bluegrass festival stages to the rock clubs of Europe, with stunning results.

More about The Tiger Beats...
The Tiger Beats are a group of Nashville artists with a common passion and respect of the “The Great Era” of Blues and early R&B. Founded by singer and guitarist Patrick Sweany in 2010, but fully realized in 2018 by the arrival of drummer Jason Smay, (J.D. McPherson, Los Straitjackets, Jimmie Vaughan) bassist Ted Pecchio, (Col. Bruce Hampton, Doyle Bramhall, Susan Tedeschi, Jimmy Hall) and the dynamite, youngblood guitarist and singer McKinley James. This lineup, routinely joined by highly in demand organist Ray Jacildo refined their sound at their popular Blue Monday residencies in Nashville, into a unique force in the Music City landscape. Their adherence to the dynamic energy, groove, and sound of classic Blues and R&B, while leaving any post-rock pretense or histrionics behind, makes them a singular and powerful live music experience.
The band showcases the elemental Delta to Chicago sounds of Muddy Waters, Elmore James, and Howlin’ Wolf, the stinging West Side guitar attack of Magic Sam and Otis Rush, swinging R&B of Bobby Blue Bland and Little Junior Parker, with a little Fats Domino and Swamp Pop for good measure. The Tiger Beats are a powerhouse of old school, soul pleasing sounds, for the here and now.
More about The Joey Fletcher Band...
Joey Fletcher is a true Tennessee treasure. From playing at some of the greasiest dive bars to performing on big festival stages, Fletcher is a Southern Rock guitarist who is rooted in the blues and takes the party to the next level with his dynamic on stage performances.
Fletcher's formative years were spent sneaking into bars as a teenager to absorb the playing of local guitar heroes. Joey is one of the most respected slide guitarists in the country and has toured the nation and shared the stage with some of music’s most notable musicians. With influences from The Allman Brothers, North Mississippi Allstars, Robert Randolph, and JJ Grey & Mofro, Fletcher brings his own home cooked mixture of down home rocking blues to every show.

More about Ghalia Volt...
Joshua Tree, California. A place where rock ‘n’ roll mythology is made, for better and worse. It was under these same burnished skies that Gram Parsons’ stolen body was set ablaze. Where U2 announced their bid for global infamy. And as Ghalia Volt reminds us, exactly thirty years ago, it was here that near-mythical producer and Queens Of The Stone Age conspirator David Catching founded the fabled Rancho De La Luna studio that would bring a stream of dust-blown musicians to his door like moths to a candle.
“Going to the desert to record Shout Sister Shout! with David Catching was something unique,” says the acclaimed Belgian singer-songwriter of her latest album that adds its own thumbprint to the Rancho De La Luna legend. “I have so many memories. Being on top of the hills facing the Joshua Tree Park. The stars, the moon, the coyote howls, the old vintage car that sat in front of the studio. And then, the history of Rancho De La Luna and all the rock ‘n’ roll neighbours. You just never know who’s gonna push the door…”
Driving deep into the desert put a few more miles on the clock of a young nomad who has made the world her home. Six years have passed since Volt quit the busking circuit of her native Brussels for the heady throb of New Orleans, where she made her first ripples as the livewire frontwoman of local heroes Mama’s Boys.
That hook-up led to Volt’s acclaimed debut album Let The Demons Out (declared “an irresistible force” by Classic Rock) and to Volt’s next stepping stone, to the hill country of Coldwater, Mississippi, for sessions with the Southern state’s Cody Dickinson, Watermelon Slim and Cedric Burnside on 2019’s Mississippi Blend. That album saw Volt dubbed “a natural-born star” by Henry Yates (NME, Classic Rock, The Guardian) and broke into the Billboard Blues Chart Top 3 on three separate occasions.
Even Covid couldn’t clip her wings, with the fierce multi-instrumentalist writing songs for her project on a month-long Amtrak train journey that carved across America, before loading up her van for solo shows. “I surfed the waves,” she reflects. “If it was bad in Europe, I’d tour in the States. If it was bad in the South, I’d go to the northern Midwest. One Woman Band opened lots of doors, let me play the biggest stages yet. But Shout Sister Shout! is my best material so far.”
This album simply wouldn’t have sounded the same without the desert seeping into her bones and Rancho De La Luna casting its strange spell. Perhaps most famous for hosting Josh Homme’s collaborative Desert Sessions, (since 1993) this studio has added its bewitching vibe to recordings by the likes of Iggy Pop, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, and PJ Harvey, all of them greeted by Catching with a glass of home-made mezcal and invited to fall into the laid-back rhythm.
“There is something about this studio,” considers the snow-bearded producer. “Everyone that’s been here and recorded here feels it, so there is something to it. Maybe it’s just all the love that’s here from over the years.”
Love and chemistry were evident as Volt locked in with the local A-list musicians who would be her studio band for the sessions, including former Dr John keys man Ben Alleman and Lou Reed’s long-serving drummer Danny Frankel. As touring guitarist for Eagles of Death Metal amongst others, Catching also lent his six-string skills. “David himself will grab the guitar every now and then,” recalls Volt, “and rip some solos and mean grooves. There were endless vintage guitars and amps to choose from.”
The desert backdrop reflected Volt’s evolution as a songwriter. “My previous albums were more based on hill country blues and traditional Delta blues,” she considers. “But here I’m bringing a kinda psychedelic, almost ’70s rock vibe to the picture. And recording it in a studio that prizes the ’90s… which as we know is a revival of the ’70s! My goal was to get this album to sound more modern, with more hooks, catchy licks, more singalongs.”
For the next few days, the walls of Rancho De La Luna shook with Volt’s best songs. “Every Cloud” kicks off like a road movie soundtrack, its jutting lick and battle cry vocal interrupted by a woozy organ freakout worthy of The Doors’ Ray Manzarek. “Can’t Afford To Die” pairs its propulsive rockabilly rattle with a sobering lyric. “That one talks about the hard financial situation of a musician during his life and after his death,” says Volt. “You can’t afford your rent and you most likely won’t afford your grave plot. Dying is expensive.”
“Insomnia” is a trip, its slow-burn psychedelia swirling from the speakers. The seething “Hell Is Not Gonna Deal With You” finds Volt spitting venom onto the mic and Frankel practically battering holes in his kit, while “Po’ Boy John” is a cathouse rave-up, Volt imagining the backstory of an old guitar. “What if a vintage guitar could talk?” she muses. “It’s been there way before you, and most likely will be here way after you.”
With its addictive beat and ghostly alt-gospel vocals, title track “Shout Sister Shout!” demands to be heard. “It’s a song encouraging women to speak loud for what they deserve,” says Volt. “Fight back, stare back, scream back. It takes courage, but it’s rewarding and we need this for future generations. Right now the world is going backward.”
As for Volt, her unstoppable motion is palpable on brittle roots reboot “Hop On A Ride,” a song co-written with fellow Ruf star Eddie 9V, which subtly namechecks all the US music cities and record labels that have touched her musical journey. “I guess it’s really my story of young adulthood,” she says, “as it’s exactly what I did when I came from Belgium. I visited all those cities, dug all those vinyls from those labels – and definitely hopped on a lot of trains.”
Some artists get lost in the desert. Others find themselves. After the smash-hit One Woman Band, Ghalia Volt has returned from the wilderness with the album of her career and the songs that will ignite venues across the globe. “Maybe I’ll come back to solo shows later in my career,” she considers, “but right now, I’m ready to jump back into a band, play these new songs live and run all around the stage…”

More about Ty Gregory...
Hailing from a small town just 50 miles east of Nashville, Ty Gregory has been sowing his musical roots deep in the Bible Belt since he was just a teenager. As a young boy, Ty would sit in front of his grandmother’s wooden console tv for hours at a time watching 90’s country music videos on CMT. Captivated by the look and sound of artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie and Travis Tritt, Ty knew at a young age that whatever these guys had, he also wanted. Twelve years old with a new tobacco sunburst painted Silvertone guitar from a Sears catalog, Ty quickly began learning to strum chords and eventually he turned those chords into songs. From that point on, Ty became hooked to the concept of playing and creating music of his own and formed countless country and rock bands over the next several years. A subtle mix of 90’s country twang coupled with melodic overtones and driving beats that can’t help from being considered an anthem, Ty Gregory is a fresh new take on the country format. More about Tom...
"Imposter", the upcoming EP (August 2024) from independent alt pop artist, Tom Tippin, acts as a confident diary detailing the transitional period of young adulthood. Growing up and drifting apart from your closest friends, discovering who you are away from your childhood home, and trying to make a name for yourself beneath the scrutiny of those who have done it before you: Each of these songs is a diary entry specific to Tom's experience, but the poignant hooks and mold-breaking production grabs listeners and speaks to the universal human experience.
Having begun his musical journey watching his platinum-selling, country star of a father, Aaron Tippin, tour the country, Tom always knew he wanted to make a career out of live performance. Tom's first-pass at releasing music (Teenage Heart, 2019) landed him on the front of shows for country giants such as Travis Tritt and The Oak Ridge Boys. During this period, he refined his live performance skills in front of thousands of people, but as he discovered more about himself, he also further developed his unique sound, which became the launchpad for his pop/rock EP, "Wasted Melodies" (2021). It was here that Tom first explored the sounds of vocoded vocal stacks, rich synths, and punchy drums through working with producer Jason Wozniak (Vacation Manor, Chris Renzema).
"Imposter" serves to add the most genuine and introspective songs to Tom's discography to date. Its in this EP that Tom deconstructs his unique upbringing and puts his unfiltered experience in the hands of the listener. Tom approaches his own flaws and insecurities with the humor that only a professional songwriter can. Likening his mind to an abandoned shopping mall, Tom writes off his struggles with anxiety as his "Job Security", singing "Tell me who I am without it all? Couldn't write this song about being miserable." Tom uses this same brutally introspective approach to take the listener through his journey of having a famous dad ("Nepo Baby"), thinking he's the root of all his problems ("Mars"), to realizing most of his obstacles are a result of his own overthinking ("In My Head"). Co-Produced with Michael Guillot (Moony, Honest Men, Gabrielle Grace), this project reminds listeners that we are not the first, nor the last, to face the trials of growing up and discovering who we are underneath it all.
You can listen to Tom Tippin on Spotify here.

More about The Magi...
After years of performing in colleges, clubs, and churches, Damien Horne (The Farm), Kenny Carter (Waterdeep, Trump Dawgs), and David “DJ” Lee (Scratch Track) have merged their individual talents as artists, songwriters, and producers into a supergroup to uplift and inspire a wide variety of audiences.
Aristotle said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Meaning, when individual parts are connected together to form one entity, they are worth more than if the parts were by themselves. The three members of The Magi come together, as brothers, to write and perform honest and real songs in a unique format. They use elements of hip hop, folk, gospel and pop to create a sound that is strictly their own.
No computers. No pre-recorded tracks. No tricks. Just beatboxing, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and their voices giving you the magical musical gift of “The Magi”.

More about Sam...
Sam Lewis has collaborated with everyone from Leon Russell to The Wood Brothers.Chris Stapleton dubbed him “a modern Townes Van Zandt”. He’s often labeled with some form of the word ‘soulful’ (some have even compared his voice to molasses), Lewis’ style meets at a juncture of many different genres however he’s discovered what most musicians spend lifetimes working for; the place where feel-good music meets vital social commentary.
After spending a nomadic youth throughout the Southeast (USA), he began calling Nashville home in 2009. Since then he’s been joined on his journey by some of music’s most righteous and luminary figures. He has pressed the first few chapters in his career’s studio anthology with the release of his self-titled debut (2012), sophomore release Waiting On You (2015), third studio release Loversity (2018) and live-acoustic album Solo (2020). All have received critical acclaim and each session as grown with the legendary family for which he has adopted to curate and share his musical inner- vision with his listeners.
Waiting On You was co-produced by roots music cornerstone, Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band). Adjoined by their savant fluency in the soul music lexicon, Lewis and Wood called upon the instrumental palettes of masters including Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson, Neil Young), Darrell Scott (Robert Plant, Guy Clark), Will Kimbrough (Jimmy Buffett, Rodney Crowell), Gabe Dixon (Paul McCartney) and the McCrary Sisters (The Fairfield Four), all placing their stamp on this enduring expression of un-compromised songwriting.
Billboard announced the highly anticipated third studio release Loversity and premiered the video for the first single, “One and The Same”. The album landed Lewis a spot on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists to Watch” list, with writer Marissa Moss describing the album as, “… seventies psychedelic soul, with a storyteller’s eye, a swampy Southern groove and an emotional, political punch.” Once again Lewis has given us an album filled with relentless grooves courtesy of rhythm section JT Cure and Derek Mixon (Chris Stapleton) and transfixing guitars of both Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart, Lucinda Williams) and Dan Cohen (Bruce Hornsby) - all who continue to bless each of Lewis’ studio campaigns.
A decade worth of touring his studio efforts (mostly solo) he has captivated audiences all around the world with his songs and stories that are glued together with a unique stage banter he’s developed from performing in numerous music halls, clubs, theaters, festivals, music cruises and the occasional living room. SOLO (2020) is a solo-acoustic album featuring new songs as well as reimagining previously released songs. Recorded at Southern Ground Studios in Nashville in front of a live audience SOLO is an intimate snapshot that captures Lewis in his element and is certain to be a fan favorite for years to come.
While each album has a distinct sound, they all circle back to one universal theme and certainly something you will hear Lewis preach to his audience, “we are all trying to get somewhere — all running from something or toward something; we’re all in it together, though.”
More about Cam...
Cam Pierce was born and bred in the West...way West. Born in a tiny logging town in Oregon and growing up in the deep woods of the Southern part of the state. He says that all his time in the woods watching, listening, and being still is a key force in his spontaneous approach to songwriting. Cam's stories reach out and activate the imagination. Transporting the listener to another time, place and frame of mind. His is a unique take on the various styles of Roots Music. Cam Pierce's music isn't just a "retro throwback sound", it is something stylistically new, yet evidently from the old.

Anthony is a multi-instrumentalist: drummer for 20 years, saxophonist for 17 years, guitarist for 12 years, and singer since childhood. The former leading member of The Smoky Nights and originally from Wisconsin, we're excited to welcome Anthony back to the Flatwoods Stage!

Mariachi is typically performed by a group of musicians, known as a mariachi band or conjunto, who come together to create a rich tapestry of sound and emotion. At its core, mariachi music is about storytelling and conveying the emotions of love , joy, sorrow, and passion through song. The lyrics often touch on themes such as love, heartbreak, patriotism, and the beauty of nature, painting vivid pictures in the listener’s mind and evoking powerful emotions. Whether it’s a lively, upbeat song that makes you want to dance or a heartfelt ballad that brings tears to your eyes, the genre has a unique ability to connect with people on a deep, emotional level.

More about LadyCouch...
"Everybody's dancing, y'all — it's about that time," Allen Thompson sings during the first minute of LadyCouch's Future Looks Fine, setting the tone for a debut album rooted in groove, soul, and the family-like bond of 12 musicians.
A southern-rock jam band fronted by Thompson and co-founder Keshia Bailey, LadyCouch brings together a lineup of songwriters, horn players, harmony singers, and first-rate instrumentalists. The result is a larger-than-life sound inspired by the revue bands of the 1970s, bringing a contemporary approach to the timeless influence of Delaney & Bonnie, Little Feat, and Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen. Funky and fiercely loyal, LadyCouch's members are a community unto themselves, writing optimistic songs about the struggles and triumphs that connect us all.
"We choose to make it through hard times by being together," says Bailey, who previously cut her teeth in the throwback soul group Magnolia Sons.
"There will always be struggle. You can sit and bask in it, or you can keep moving forward. For me, the best option is bond together and sing it out. That's what this band does for me. LadyCouch heals me."
Before teaming up with Bailey, Thompson released four albums of psychedelic folk music as the frontman of Allen Thompson Band. Meanwhile, LadyCouch's other members — trombonist Diego Vasquez and the Nashville Horns, Robert Gay and Paul Thacker; recording engineer, co-producer, and bassist Gordon Persha; as well as Grayson Downs, Clint Maine, and Ray Dunham, all veterans from Allen Thompson Band — left their own marks on the city's music scene, creating music that nodded to their influences while still exploring new territory. Together, this family of musicians now make their LadyCouch debut with 2021's Future Looks Fine, a high-spirited album recorded at Todd Snider's rehearsal space and hangout headquarters — the Purple Building — in East Nashville.
"We were planning on using the Purple Building as a place to rehearse and do pre-production," Thompson remembers. "When we arrived, we realized Todd had already outfitted the place to record his own record. JoJo Hermann from Widespread Panic had left his brand new upright piano there, too for his weekly quarantine streams. We recorded a few tracks, assuming they'd be demos, but then we listened to the recording and heard the energy present in the first and second takes, so we just kept going. With Todd's blessing, we made the rest of Future Looks Fine in that room, after Todd finished recording First Agnostic Church of Hope and Wonder with the same engineer, Colin Cargile. Listening back, I think you can hear that connection between both albums. It's obvious we were all in the same place. Not just physically but musically and emotionally as well.”
Co-produced and engineered by Persha, Future Looks Fine finds LadyCouch writing about personal matters — heartbreak, brotherhood, and friendship — as well as the modern world outside, with songs that tackle thorny issues like social struggle and crooked politics. The songs are laced with layered harmonies, entwined electric guitars, and swirling organ, driven forward by melodic hooks as big as the band's lineup. Gluing everything together is LadyCouch's clear appreciation for one another. In a town filled with musicians, they're something rare: a genuine band of brothers and sisters, choosing to rally against the setbacks of today's world by holding each other aloft.
