Join us as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a fun night of banjo pickin' and bluegrass, drinks, food (including Irish-themed options from Hardwoods Smokehouse Express), and more with Randy Steele and High Cold Wind at the Harvester!

More about Randy...

Randy Steele is an award winning banjo pickin' singer/songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. His first solo album was released in early 2017 followed by an EP released in the summer of 2018. Both albums were met with critical acclaim and spotlights from dozens of music critics, including Relix Magazine, No Depression, and The Bluegrass Situation. In 2018 Steele won an Independent Music Award for Bluegrass 'Song of the Year' for "Mobile Soon" and was also selected as a Finalist in the New Song LEAF Songwriting Competition. Steele then spent 2019 hard on the road clocking in 90 shows in 17 states in 47 cities before being forced off the road by the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. 2021 - 2023 Steele put together a bluegrass band of Southeastern Tennessee musicians called the High Cold Wind and began playing festivals and shows in Tennessee, Atlanta, Asheville, Charleston SC, and a few cities saw multiple repeat performances by either Randy Steele solo or Randy Steele & High Cold Wind. In 2023 Steele was named s Semi Finalist in the American Songwriter ‘Song of the Year’ for 2022, then he was named a Finalist in the legendary ‘New Folk’ Songwriting Competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. Randy released ‘High Cold Wind’ in 2023 to acclaim from Bluegrass Today, Bluegrass Unlimited, Americana Highways and multiple other media sources. Steele is currently touring around the South East and recording new material whenever possible.

Randy Steele and the High Cold Wind is a high energy bluegrass band based out of Chattanooga Tennessee. It was started in 2022 as a support band for Steele’s singer/songwriter touring. After a few shows, they found themselves invited to multiple festivals throughout the Southeast US with acts like Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Town Mountain, Larry Keel, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out, The Kody Norris Show, Nick Lutsko, and the Lonesome River Band. The band entered the studio in late summer and has multiple single releases due out in 2023 beginning in March. Joining Steele in the High Cold Wind is flat pick wizard and member of Americana favorites Strung Like a Horse, Tyler Martelli on acoustic guitar. Multiple State, multiple instrumental contest Champion and well known teacher John Boulware on Mandolin. Slim Pickins Bluegrass’ own Justin Hupp on the upright bass. Randy Steele and the High Cold Wind are currently booked for several festivals and are actively booking select dates for 2024 Spring, Summer and Fall.

Born & raised in Music City, Timbo made waves working the Nashville honky-tonk circuit & kickstarted his career by releasing his debut EP to critical acclaim. Timbo has shared the stage with Sturgill Simpson, Lana Del Ray, and he recently made his Opry debut with his long time collaborator, Sierra Ferrell.

Luke cut his teeth busking on Broadway in Nashville at the age of 12. Since then he’s performed alongside Bobby Osborn, Marty Raybon, Larry Sparks, and many other entertainers in the music industry. His smooth vocals, heart-wrenching songwriting, and masterful playing harken to the classic and traditional sounds of Country and Bluegrass music.
