Bert’s on Thursday Featuring Delyn Christian

You know that USPS TV commercial, with Johnny Cash singing “I’ve Been Everywhere”?

Well, Burlappers, the Wisteria Stage at Bert Driver’s Burlap Room was the perfect setting of a beautiful Tennessee spring evening for a troubadour who actually, maybe, has been everywhere…judging from his widely-varying song list, to his original (VERY clever) original songs, it was a real treat watching this professional entertainer casually utilizing his excellent ability to connect instantly with his audience as evidenced during his renditions of popular (and obscure) John Prine material to Crosby, Stills, Nash, to Billy Joe Shaver, and finishing the evening’s performance with a rousing version of Will the Circle be Unbroken….Right down the Burlappers’ discerning alley!

And….Delyn also plays some mean blues and folk cross harp, and has a bevy of ‘em holstered around his waist when not playing one in his “around the neck harmonica holder”. Delyn is another shining example of Bert Driver’s Burlap Room constant efforts to bring the best in regional and local entertainment to our stages.

Next live music event of note (haha) will be at our sister facility, The Harvester Performance and Event Center, located in downtown Smithville, TN on Thursday, 5/5/20 - Cinco de Mayo! Find all the details here. Doors open at 6, and Jordan Morack and Cerulean Soul Jazz Band take the stage around 7:30pm (immediately following Downtown Smithville’s “First Thursday of the Month: Shop Late-Shop Local” special event). Then, on Saturday, 5/14/22, join us for our Third Annual Center Hill Lake Fest, with returning special guests McKinley James Band as headliners, and opener (new to this area) Jimmy Wayne Garrett.

Stay up-to-date with all the events in the Bert Driver Network (Nursery, Burlap Room, and the newly-opened Harvester Event Center) by signing up for our Burlapper Newsletter. All tickets for all Burlap Room and Harvester Event Center can be purchased at burlaproom.eventbrite.com. See y’all here!
