DC Blitz! Live from the Harvester
05.03.2025 - On Saturday morning, the Harvester Event Center hosted a landmark occasion as the Dekalb County Blitz! sports program went live at 9AM. This exciting event featured the dynamic duo of Tom Duggin and Casey Midgett, along with Coach Kelly and Coach Vance and their team.
It has been a joy to witness the coverage of Dekalb West School, Dekalb Middle School, and DeKalb County High School. The focus was on the thriving sports programs within the community, which have experienced remarkable growth and competitiveness in the region. It's refreshing to see such local talent showcased and supported, making it an engaging experience for everyone involved.
The coverage itself was impressive—detailed, fair, and insightful. The team's assessments and commentary were spot-on, demonstrating a deep understanding of the games and the athletes. I was particularly pleased to see the Harvester take the initiative to host this broadcast, a project they worked diligently on for about a year until it all came together perfectly. Consequently, The Harvester Event Center is an official sponsor of both the DCHS Soccer Team and DC Fishing Team
Broadcasting from the Flatwoods Stage, the event allowed the community to celebrate their teams, bringing attention to local sports programs that deserve recognition. Cheer for the Bulldogs, Saints, and Tigers—it was a true celebration of local pride!
Overall, I am thrilled to be part of this milestone and look forward to more collaborations like this in the future.
