Pam Tillis and Phillip Lammonds at the Harvester

04.02.2025 - On Wednesday evening the wind swept into town, setting the stage for a soulful gathering at the Harvester. Despite the blustery spring weather and swirling skies, the venue was packed with enthusiastic attendees, united in their anticipation for a night of exceptional music.

The evening commenced with Phillip Lammonds, who hails from the Carolinas and has written over 4,000 songs, a remarkable storyteller who opened the show and guided us through a series of compelling experiences. His storytelling perfectly set the tone for what was to come.

James G. "Bobo" Driver Memorial Award winner, Ivy Phillips, showed up in Smithville as part of The Pam Tillis caravan. Ivy was also named the 48th Grand Champion Fiddler (Barry C. Williams Memorial Trophy) of the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree in 2019, making it a bit of a homecoming for the Cheatham County, Tennessee native. How remarkable that Smithville continues to be the crossroads of Americana Music!?

Pam Tillis, the legendary country music artist, took the stage alongside Ivy Phillips on fiddle and Becky Priest on keys. Together, these three gifted women presented a fabulous performance filled with captivating storytelling and beloved classics. Pam’s powerful voice resonated with the audience, embodying a deep connection to nature that mirrored the beauty of the season. As someone in the nursery business, I found it profoundly moving to witness how the vibrant energy of spring was mirrored in the music.

The night was enhanced by the outstanding cocktail service from our bar staff, ensuring everything ran smoothly and professionally. Attendees enjoyed delicious offerings, including Dave’s Old-Fashioned Burgers, which received rave reviews. It was heartening to see a blend of new faces and familiar friends, all coming together to support live music in our community.

We are truly fortunate to have such a venue in our lovely town of Smithville, Tennessee—an oasis for music lovers and a place where community spirit thrives. A heartfelt thank you to Pam Tillis for gracing us with her charm and grace, and to Ivy Phillips for her return, showcasing her heritage as royalty of our small town’s very own Fiddlers’ Jamboree.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended and supported our efforts as your presence enriches our community and preserves the spirit of live music.
