EAST NASH GRASS
Cory Walker
Cory got his start in Lithia, Florida as a member of the Walker Brothers alongside (you guessed it) his brother Jarrod. Having shared the stage with basically every major name in bluegrass and country music, from Early Scruggs to Keith Urban, Cory is now making a name for himself outside of the family band. Most recently, he has collaborated with artists such as Mountain Heart, David Grier, and The Steeldrivers, and is now pursuing a solo project of his own. He is best known as the deep thinker of the band, and the personal connection to friend of the band, Tim Allen.
Geoff Saunders
As the token Yankee of the band, Geoff Saunders is more than pulling his weight in diplomas and awards to make up for his lack of Appalachian cred. With a 2017 doctorate in jazz studies from the University of Miami and a Grammy win for Best Bluegrass Album from the same year, he has played with everybody from Mark O’Connor to Bobby McFerrin to Gloria Estefan to Mark O’Connor. Geoff has just released his own solo album, titled Geophonia, available for streaming and purchase in all the usual places.
James Kee
Hailing from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, James has played with NewTown and the Hamilton County Ramblers. One of the original founding members of the East Nash Grass back in 2017, he has served as one of the driving forces behind the band’s creative growth with three songwriting credits on the first album. He is proud to serve as the Vice Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 82 in Nashville and to be a card-carrying member of the AFM Local 257 union.
Maddie Denton
Originally hailing from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Maddie is best known for crushing the dreams of children on the fiddle contest circuit for years as a 14-time Tennessee state champion and Grand Master fiddler. She has played with the East Nash Grass since its earliest days and helped to define its signature sound with her virtuosic and intuitive style. In her free time, she also makes appearances with the Dan Tyminski Band.
Harry Clark
From Searcy, Arkansas, Harry Clark is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has worked with everyone from the IBMA-phenoms Volume V to the jamgrass-y The Wooks. He has become moderately famous to a small subset of people via appearances of his likeness in vinyl sticker form and is renowned for his unpredictable and seemingly boundless creativity.
Gaven Largent
Born and raised in Winchester, Virginia, Gaven has been steeped in the culture and music of bluegrass since his infancy. His lifetime of experience has distinguished him among his peers, netting appearances on the Opry since his early teens, touring stints with Blue Highway and Dailey & Vincent, and recognition for his prowess not only as an instrumentalist but also as a luthier and bonified resourceful countryman.
Soulfissh
Soulfissh formed after long-time touring artists and soul mates Don and Tommie O’Connor left the winding road behind and moved back to Don’s hometown, Sparta, TN. Soon they focused on what they could not leave behind – MUSIC THAT MOVES YOU. Don recruited his drummer nephew, Joey Roberts, to put the drive in their solid, old school attitude to music. The band was rounded out with fellow Spartan and bassist, Greg England.
Soulfissh combines classic and contemporary sounds that transcend genres – showcasing today’s and yesteryears’ Soul and R&B with Pop/Rock and Country. Moving melodies, funky grooves, and tight three-part harmonies are the foundation for the band’s soulful sound. From Aretha to Marvin, Clapton to Commodores, and LaBelle to Little Big Town, Soulfissh feeds the soul with music from the memorable moments of life.
