Doors open at 4pm, first performance at 6pm. Ages 12 & up. More details to come.
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM: The Harvester becomes a magical realm as a hapless actor becomes a pawn in the battle between the King and Queen of the fairy world. Audience members are enlisted to become fairies by the mischievous Puck, and all are invited to sing along in this 30-minute musical version of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy.
MACBETH: Presented as a dialogue between the actors and the Harvester audience, excerpts of Macbeth will be performed and discussed. Each actor takes on one of the main characters in the story of the man and his wife who let their ambition and greed overpower their morals and consciences. The objective is to view the characters’ issues through a contemporary lens while demonstrating the clarity and power of Shakespeare’s poetry. The 75-minute program includes 15 minutes of Q&A with the actors. *WARNING: Fake blood and graphic violence is depicted.
