Mariachi Olímpico…

A Mexican Ranchero group based out of Nashville, TN. Mariachi Olímpico is one of the most popular and exciting groups of mariachi music in the South! Bringing in not only traditional Mexican music to live but also some American folk classic like “Rocky Top”! The group shares the love of this style of music to keep it alive and well so the future generations of Hispanic will have the same kind of love and appreciation for their culture and for everyone to enjoy! Mariachi music is a traditional Mexican musical combining Spanish, Indigenous, and African music elements. It is characterised by stringed instruments, brass, and vocals, often accompanied by lively rhythms and elaborate costumes. Mariachi is typically performed by a group of musicians, known as a mariachi band or conjunto, who come together to create a rich tapestry of sound and emotion. At its core, mariachi music is about storytelling and conveying the emotions of love , joy, sorrow, and passion through song. The lyrics often touch on themes such as love, heartbreak, patriotism, and the beauty of nature, painting vivid pictures in the listener’s mind and evoking powerful emotions. Whether it’s a lively, upbeat song that makes you want to dance or a heartfelt ballad that brings tears to your eyes, the genre has a unique ability to connect with people on a deep, emotional level.

Axel & Lucy Western Duo…

They come from a background of classical and bluegrass music from and early age. Axel from Classical Saxophone to bluegrass banjo, Lucy from classical violin to foot stomping Appalachia fiddle. With both having a deep understanding of Hispanic culture and love for American music they have combined their abilities to preform the Western Swing style of music. With Axel & Lucy being exposed to both Hispanic and American Cultures they will present music that helps them present who they are. Western Swing is a mixture of Mexican Ranchera, Swing Jazz, and Country combined.
