Enjoy the music of Colton Rhody and Lorie Judd tonight during another installment of the Burlap Willow Cigar Club for Bert’s on Thursday (Thursday, Aug. 26). Gates open at 5pm, music starts at 6pm. LORIE JUDD
Lorie Judd is a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, and bassist. She began her love affair with music at a very early age. Lorie was influenced by her musical family, especially her grandmother who taught her how to play guitar at age 11. Soon thereafter, Lorie began writing songs and playing the bass guitar, and was Influenced by a variety of genres. Lorie has performed several songwriting showcases at the Bluebird Café and played in local bands including, Tuff Luck, J.C. Sandlin, Heart & Soul, and KINFOLK. Lorie will be laying down a solid groove on bass at the Burlap Room.
COLTON RHODY
Colton Rhody grew up in Smithville, TN and took an interest in music at a very early age. He began playing trumpet in the 5th grade and continued through college where he earned a spot in the Middle Tennessee State University Band of Blue. Colton’s real passion for music began somewhere in the middle, though, when his parents gifted him a guitar for Christmas. He began taking lessons when he was 13, and by the age of 15 he was playing guitar in local bands. After high school, Colton began driving to Nashville weekly to learn from some of the best guitarists in the music industry. Colton went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business from MTSU, and was he has worked with artists such as Jason Michael Carroll, Dustin Lynch, Bomshel, Madonna Nash, Kristy Lee Cook, Shelby Lee Lowe, Cody Purvis, and more. Colton has been a guitar teacher since 2008, and he enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for music with others.
